The Society of St. Joseph of the Sacred Heart (our official title) is an interracial community of
priests and brothers who work in the African American community. We are a Community of Apostolic Life, in fact, the only religious community of men in the Roman Catholic Church who are engaged exclusively in this ministry to and with the African American community.

Most of our priests and brothers work and live in the parish setting; however, we are open to other areas of ministry. Culturally sensitive and vibrant worship, solid Catholic teaching, and promotion of family life accomplish our goal of evangelization.
